FEMS Young Scientists Meeting Grants (YSMG)

A number of grants to support the attendance of young microbiologists is available through a FEMS Meeting Grant awarded to the organizers of Extremophiles 2010

FEMS requires that a Young Scientist Meeting Grantee is:

• A member of a FEMS Member Society or recommended by such member

• Younger than 36 years of age at the closing date of the meeting
  (September 16, 2010)

• A working microbiologist AND a presenting author of the abstract.

The FEMS Young Scientist Meeting Grant amounts to a maximum of 600 Euros. 

Candidates should fill in the FEMS Application Form (pdf or Word) and send it with a short curriculum vitae (maximum one A4 page) and with a copy of the Abstract to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   before the 31st May 2010.

Deadline for submitting grant applications is 31th May 2010.

Decisions will be made by 30th June 2010.

Applicants for FEMS funding should fill in the Congress registration form indicating that they have applied for a FEMS Young Scientists Meeting Grant (please tick the respective box).
