Awards to Young Scientists

• The ISE will honour three talented young researchers with the Extremophiles Award that consists of a specially designed medal and a certificate. Eligible persons are young scientists (maximum age 31) who will present a poster or talk at the conference. The laureates will be selected by a jury based on the abstracts that have been submitted to Extremophiles 2010. The award ceremony will take place during the conference dinner.

Conference Registration Grants

• A limited number of ISE-grants are offered to young scientists (maximum age 31) seeking support for attending the Extremophiles 2010 congress.

• To apply for a grant, an abstract has to be presented as first author, the registration has to be completed and the fees paid. Letters of application, including a short CV (max. one A4 page), a copy of the abstract and a brief description of the current work should be forwarded to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Successful applicants will be refunded.

• Grants will cover the registration fee only.

Deadline for submitting grant applications is 31 May 2010.
Decisions will be made by 30th June 2010
